Shari Berkowitz

I started shari b. jewelry in December 2000 in a little restaurant called Napoli in Little Italy, New York City. At dinner with my friends Peggy and Erin, they encouraged me to go in to business...all because of a 4-strand choker I was wearing that night. At that time, all I had ever designed was that one choker, but they planned a jewelry party for 2 weeks later so I had to come up with an entire line! That party was very successful and shari b. jewelry was born!

Jewelry design is just one of my businesses. I also own and operate The Vertical Workshop, the Beverly Hills Pilates Studio, and am the Power Pilates Director of West Coast Education as well as Lead Teacher Trainer.

Before shari b. jewelry and opening The Vertical Workshop, I performed in musicals for most of my life! Born and raised in New York City, I now live in Beverly Hills. It’s not a bad life!

I attempt to balance art and teaching with business and play! Sometimes I'm better at finding that balance than others! It’s a practice, not a perfect! Anyone who knows me knows that I practice, practice, practice!
